Back in the 70?s, two Strawberry farmers’ kids named Marvin and Jeff from California always dreamed of flying. As Marvin and Jeff grew up they explored the world of remote controlled aircraft, which at the time was the closest they could come to actually flying. They would buy the aircraft as kits, or would build them from scratch with balsa wood. They both looked at the skies hoping that one day they could become pilots. As the years went by their careers took them to different avenues in life. Marvin chose to go in the Navy and become an Airframes Mechanic, while Jeff chose to pursue Law Enforcement. As time went on, even though their lives took different paths, they stayed in touch, and would catch up on their families, kids and jobs. One day Marvin called Jeff to catch up on the last 3 years and during the conversation Marvin told Jeff he got something that he had been wanting for 30 years, Jeff’s response was “What is that?” Marvin said “Think about it Jeff.” Jeff stated, “You got your Pilots Certificate!!” Funny thing is that Jeff said he too had gotten his Pilots Certificate.  Two men, who had grown up, living separate lives, now, had been brought back together 30 years later to live out their childhood dream.
